Ho Chi Minh City is formerly known as Saigon located in the south of Vietnam, which is one of the fastest growing countries in the Asia Pacific region. It is the largest city of Vietnam and, in many ways, the business capital of the country. Ho Chi Minh City is also the center for education, science, technology, industry and tourism. The city is generally humid and warm year round with two distinctive seasons: dry and rainy. Transportation to Ho Chi Minh City

Tan Son Nhat is Vietnam's largest international airport. If you land in Tan Son Nhat airport, the cheapest option is to take No. 152 air-con airport shuttle.

  • Operational hours: 06:00 ~ 18:30
  • Operational frequency: Every 30 or 60 minutes
  • Bus stop: Airport Bus Stop, located in the 1st Floor of the Airport
  • Ticket rate: ~5000 VND (approx. 40 cents of USD )
  • Terminal stop: Ben Thanh Market (downtown of Ho Chi Minh city)

Alternatively, you can get a taxi. Taxis from the airport to the city centre usually take 30 minutes and cost USD 5-7. Please be advised that taxi drivers will get commission for taking customers to certain hotels in HCMC. When arriving at the airport, please be explicit about your destination hotel where you want to be taken to.
